Hey Lovlies!

I have returned from a hiatus this summer, and am excited to come back to Mad About Manhattan completely refreshed!  Summer is winding down, and I thought this shoot, which happened to take place in my very own backyard, would be the perfect transition of Summer to Fall!  I linked up with the amazingly talented Karlie Rae & had a rather spontaneous shoot in the unused cow pasture behind my house in Pennsylvania. 

I picked these three outfits because they are all complete STEALS @ Marshalls and they made me feel like I could bleed them from Summer into Fall with ease.  It's amazing how you can hold onto some of your favorite Summer looks by pairing them with Fall accents.  For example, a light dress or flowy top can be kicked up a chilly notch with suade booties, a felt hat, chunky long sweaters or pleather pants/skirt, you will look like you are a seasonal fashionista!

Shooting in an open field on a warm breezy summer day with Karlie was bliss.  I did most of the shoot in bare feet really connecting with the stunning nature around me.  True, I did have to avoid old cow patty leftovers!  --Not as romantic, but beautiful nonetheless.  I ended up with tons of scratches on my legs but beauty is pain, right?  Haha, "do it for the blog!"  Karlie was a trooper and frolicked in the tall grass with me.  The photo of me laying down on the ground looking up is my most favorite and only a master photographer could capture the light as amazingly as she did with the sun peeking through the grass and leaves.  I was praying there weren't any spiders in my hair.

Shoot Details: At the BOTTOM of this post are similar looks to the ones I grabbed on Sale @ Marshalls.  My long maxi dress is made by:  Patrons of Peace . My blue straw hat is actually borrowed from my mother's closet when I was raiding the house for any last minute touches!  The gorgeous cobalt blue tassel earrings are my very favorite jewelry store: Best of Everything .  They are also not just in Florida, they sell all their precious goodies online and ship anywhere!  Brown sandal heels are from Francesca's .  You can purchase the short burgundy and light pink ruffled flower dress here . My magnificent blue and camell leather saddle purse is Dior. :)  Chunky knit sweater (my absolute favorite for the cold) is from Anthropologie . Denim shorts: Nordstrom and white blouse is Marshalls. Makeup & Hair done by me, Loreal mascara shop the mascara here and Nars lips shop the lipstick here in "Bound Velvet Lip Glide."

I am so excited to say that I am partnering up with a handful of amazing companies and brands in the next few weeks that I adore.  I will be posting feature blogs on each collaboration.  So keep a lookout!  That, and Fall photoshoots are my favorite.  I may or may not have a "You Had Me At Pumpkin Spice Latte" tunic!
