Eek! I have waited too long to share with you my amazing summer getaway to Montauk, NY.  The highlight of my summer was the beauty escape right above The Hamptons.  Montauk used to be an old fishing town, and has always been known for its beauty and quaintness!  What I loved the most about it was the ability to walk pretty much everywhere or be a short drive to fantastic restaurants and lakes.  I recommend staying at The Montauk Blue Hotel because it sits right on the beach!  Your hotel room's doors open right out onto the san and have a little patio to sit and watch the sunset.  I did this every night I stayed, and felt like I was in another world.

Exploring Montauk was simply a treat.  The seafood is divine and the people are friendly.  For a casual meal and yummy beach drinks, I chose The Sloppy Tuna .  Here, you can play outdoor patio games and sit under umbrellas while being on the beach.  This is a very short walk from the hotel that I chose.  For a little more of a "scene" of who's who and style, I loved brunching and dancing on the lake beach of The Surf Lodge . Montauk is famous for this place and is very "blogger envy."  I enjoyed the drinks, music and people.

If you want a fancy girls' night or a nice date night, I obsessed over The Crow's Nest !! Oh my goodness was the food amazing, and the views were spectacular.  Lastly, for another "get all dolled up" but still relax spot, I recommend Gurney's where you can dine, enjoy a fire pit drink or simply explore the resort and spa.

ENTERTAINMENT

I don't know about you-but I LOVE to dance!  I need a great DJ and some throwback 90's tuns to really get on the dance floor and Ruschmeyers definitely provided.  I highly advise getting there early around 9/10 to beat the line, but it is so worth it when you go in.  There is a large outdoor space and a cabin like dancing house to roam around in and boogie!

I also love me a great concert, and The Surf Lodge that I mentioned earlier is the perfect place to catch new and already established artists.  I attended Lupe Fiasco's concert and felt like I was at a private concert of barely 200 people!  There are always concerts every Friday and Saturday night there, so I urge you to check them out.

Montauk was a dream.  It is so convenient for New Yorkers being a short drive away, and yet feel like you are in a totally different place.  I found spas, cute little shops, ice cream parlors, hip bars, old townie joints and everything in between.  If you are looking for a unique trip, Montauk is the place to go!  Xo A
